Norma Lansing, President & CEO, IOM, ACE
Norma is an Illinois Accredited Chamber Executive, graduate of Institutes for Organization Management and a 40-year veteran in Chamber of Commerce management. She oversees the programs and services that the Chamber provides to our members and the community.
Norma is also actively involved in the community as a member of the Board of the Effingham Regional Growth Alliance, Effingham Regional Incubator Network, Effingham County CEO Advisory Board, Lake Land College Kluthe Center Advisory Board and City of Effingham Tourism Advisory Board, member of Effingham Noon Rotary Club and Effingham Women of Today. She is past chairman of the board of the Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives and recipient of the association’s highest award for achievement, the Lester W. Brann Distinguished Chamber Executive Award. Lansing received the 2014 East Central Illinois Development Corporation’s Outstanding Leadership in Community and Economic Development.
Norma and her husband Ken have three children and six grandchildren and reside at Lake Sara.

Becky Brown, Membership Manager, NFCP
Becky is a Certified Not-For-Profit Executive and a 23 year veteran with the Chamber of Commerce. Her duties include membership recruitment and retention, scheduling of Business After Hours, Ribbon Cuttings, new member pictures and other membership programs.
Becky received her Associates Degree in Accounting from Lake Land College in 1994; a Dale Carnegie graduate in 1996; a graduate assistant in 1999 and completed the Pacific Institute Investment In Excellence Training in 2006. She is also active in the community as Past-President for Sunrise Rotary; a member of the Effingham Women of Today; Treasurer for Crossroads ABATE and a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Strasburg.
Becky and her husband Ken have two children and three grandchildren and reside in Effingham.

JoAnn Sasse Givens
JoAnn Sasse Givens, Director of Workforce Development at the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce comes to the Chamber with a broad business and workforce background having held VP, Director, and Management positions in Communications, Health Care, Municipal Government, and Environmental Services. She has also worked as adjunct faculty for Rend Lake College, Kaskaskia College, and Lake Land College. Areas of expertise include public speaking, recruitment, organizational development, and community and employer branding.
Ms. Givens has received numerous awards for high sales, The President’s Award for Outstanding Achievement in Human Resources, and was a highly regarded Speaker for the Rural Cellular Carriers in America’s National Convention in Reno. She has served as a member of the Illinois Economic Development Corporation’s Marketing Council, The Illinois TIF Association, and The Illinois Enterprise Zone.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale where she graduated magna cum laude and received both the Robert W Davis Memorial Scholarship and the Archibald McLeod Award for Academic Excellence. Additional education includes many seminars in marketing, communications, and human resources, a Certificate in Planning and Zoning from University of Missouri St Louis, Pacific Institute’s Investment in Excellence Program and Facilitator Training, and in August of 2016 she completed the first year seminar of the Community and Economic Development Program at Western Illinois University which leads to certification as a Community and Economic Development Professional (CEDP).
Ms. Givens has been actively involved in professional and community theatre as an actor/director and done commercial and voice over work throughout Southern Illinois, including McLeod Summer Playhouse, SIU – Playwright’s Workshop and The Stage Company in Carbondale; Pyramid Players in Benton; Centralia Cultural Society; Salem Theatre; Rend Lake College in Ina; and the Nashville Arts Council. She adores her nieces and nephews and loves spending time with them, being outdoors, traveling, hiking, motorcycling, and taking photographs. Ms. Givens is a vocalist who performs regularly for church, business, and community functions. She is active in her church having served as Youth Choir Director, High School Youth Counselor, Education Director, and Building Committee Chairman.
